John has been doing CrossFit since 2018 and prior to that he was always into some sort of fitness but primarily body building since he was 10 years old.  He has been coaching at Kulshan Athletics since June of 2021.   John is also in the U.S. Coast guard and has been since 2013.

His favorite lift is the back squat and when not at the gym, he is likely working, hunting, fishing, or spending time with his dogs, Starla and Bernie.
